Fair Trading Technology to launch monthly $5000 MT4 trading contest

May 11th, 2011 Comments off

Building on the success and great response of their previous MetaTrader competition, Fair Trading Technology is launching a $5,000 prize to the best monthly MetaTrader 4 trader starting June 1, 2011.

Fair Trading Technology is once again giving traders three opportunities to prove their skills and trading strategies to win one of three monthly $5000 prizes in their latest MT4 demo trading contest.

The contest, which begins June 1, 2011, will allow traders to try Fair Trading Technology’s flagship T3 Execution Bridge, which connects MetaTrader 4 with Dukascopy Bank. The MT4 contest demo account provides traders an identical experience to the live trading environment.

Traders will each start with a demo account of 100,000 USD at the beginning of the month. The trader with the highest equity gain at the end of the month, who trades within the parameters of the contest, will win the $5000 prize.

While the trading contest does not officially begin until June 1, the first 2000 traders to pre-register will be eligible to start trading on May 27, a three-day head start over other traders for the first month of the contest.

“”We want to make sure that this contest rewards accuracy in trading and proper risk management rather than luck,””

With a one month trading period, long-term trading and sound risk strategies are key to success.

“We want to make sure that this contest rewards accuracy in trading and proper risk management rather than luck,” said Fair Trading Technology co-founder McLean Van Cleve.

Fair Trading Technology has implemented several rule changes over the previous contest run earlier this year that will benefit traders with sound risk strategies.

“Emphasizing the long-term advantages in managing risk and educating new traders in this is part of our long term strategy of making traders profitable,” said Van Cleve. “Our no-dealing desk solution means that our long term success is dependent on traders being successful.”

To help traders, throughout the duration of the competition Fair Trading Technology will be active on their blog to help educate contestants on proper risk management in forex trading.

By using MetaTrader 4 together with Fair Trading Technology’s T3 Execution Bridge connected to Dukascopy Bank demo account, Van Cleve says contestants will experience a “true MT4-ECN experience”.

“Our MT4 to ECN Bridge is unique,” said Van Cleve. “Contestants will feel right at home in the MT4 environment, yet at the same time have the opportunity to get a feel for ECN liquidity,”

The T3 Execution Bridge is the world’s first totally transparent MetaTrader to true ECN trading bridge with two-way execution at the world’s largest ECN, the SWFX Marketplace of Dukascopy Bank.

The contest begins June 1, 2011 and runs for three months. Participants can register and find full contest details at http://www.fairtradingtech.com/contest.

Trading At Your Fingertip

March 17th, 2011 Comments off

Trading in the financial markets with ease is a well-justified expectation that most forex and commodities traders have nowadays.

The ability to start and end trading transactions from any mobile device does not only save much time, but it also brings profit while you are on the move. Another huge advantage of mobile trading, apart from the flexibility and ease of conducting trades, is the range of personalized services accessible anywhere and anytime.

United World Capital (www.uwcfx.com) has recently introduced its mobile trading applications, which virtually enable clients to have trading in their pockets or at their fingertips. The world of the financial markets has now been brought closer to traders than ever before.

The first such application of the mobile apps is the UWC iTrader, which makes it possible for clients to download and install Metatrader 4 to their mobile devices and conduct trades without even switching on their PCs. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, the UWC iTrader enables trading account holders to conduct trades with ease wherever they are. The range of mobile trading opportunities is even broader by providing United World Capital clients with the UWC aTrader for Android-based smartphones and the UWC bTrader for Blackberry.

The main features of these mobile trading applications are promising enough for traders to start using them on a regular basis. To only name a few such features, clients can monitor updating prices for financial instruments and create their own watch list; instant and market orders can be opened and closed; news and economic calendar can be followed up online; chart creation and activity reports are available, and much more.

Switching from a demo to a trading account is also a good opportunity to start to trade using any of the UWC Trader mobile apps, and experience the huge benefits of Metatrader 4 as easily and comfortably as imaginable.

Metatrader 4 – Now at Dukascopy Bank

January 29th, 2011 Comments off

Fair Trading Technology is proud to announce that our transparent, 2-way Metatrader 4 execution bridge is now available at Dukascopy Bank. Access the largest pool of liquidity on the planet through Dukascopy’s SWFX marketplace and have your funds held securely in a Swiss Bank while using the retail traders platform of choice, Metatrader 4 (and soon 5!).

SWFX Marketplace
The worlds largest pool of liquidity. Trade from position sizes starting at 1000 base currency (0.1 standard lots) all the way up to 250 million (2500 lots) per click. Every trader, regardless of account size, has access to the exact same pricing and liquidity.

What is T3?
Our T3 execution bridge solves all of the problems that have plagued Metatrader 4 to ECN implementations. We have solved the issue of top level liquidity only by bringing true access to multiple levels of liquidity to Metatrader. Partial fills are no longer an issue due to our two way execution. A transparent order reporting login shows fills on both sides of the trade proving that Fair Trading Technology doesn’t manipulate, delay or hinder your orderflow in any shape, form or fashion.

Discrepancies in the back end were another issue that were solved by utilizing our two-way execution. Basically if it happens on one side, then it will happen on the other. Orders can be created through the JForex platform, Dukascopy’s iPhone application and Metatrader 4 allowing you access to multiple platforms and they’re all synced in real time! Zero discrepancies is what Fair Trading Tech had in mind when we created this bridge so that you could concentrate on the most important aspects of trading… making pips.

Execution speed typically clocks in at about 300 milliseconds. Innovations in cloud computing and virtualization ensure the fastest calculations and therefore trade execution by having multiple hosts speaking to the same RAM and disks. Virtuilization ensures that we are able to maintain working trade servers around the clock. If a physical machine fails another one steps in to balance the load and you, the trader, wouldn’t even notice.

What’s new?
Metatrader 5 has been released and we are busy developing an even better solution by bridging Metatrader 5 to Dukascopy. To beta-test our solution, Fair Trading Technology is holding a demo trading Metatrader 5 contest. While already underway, cash prizes are given weekly to the largest equity gain that week. So every Monday everyone entered has an equal shot at winning.
